Working with municipalities is where Buhler’s approach to highly efficient project management becomes pivotal. These projects are often phased and have many moving parts.
Our office team are experts at keeping paperwork flowing so our field team can drive the schedule to meet the needs of our clients whether it be for the California State Parks Department or the Sanitation Department.

LUCY EVANS CENTER
Lucy Evans Center in Palo Alto was an extremely interesting build. A complete renovation of the educational center and a new 100 yard long raised walkway posed a real challenge. Working over three feet of mud, tide changes, and adhering to strict environmental protection measures we were able to create a beautiful space for people of all ages to learn about what the wonderful bay has to offer.
Angel Island
Angel Island is a California State Parks project that was full of history. The old hospital building where immigrants from around the world were checked into has now been restored to create a new museum. The historical renovation included maintaining as much of the original history as possible while updating the MEP to create a brand new space that represents the aesthetic of the original building.
San Francisco Job Order Contract
Buhler has a contract for the city of San Francisco that consists of many different project types. From new doors and floors in the San Francisco County Jail to multiple parking garage upgrades the projects have a true range. Our staff manages multiple projects at a time and for all different departments across the city landscape.
