MEET STEVE BUHLER

Steve Buhler founded Buhler Commercial Construction with a vision to simplify the construction process for business owners, commercial property owners and facility managers throughout the Bay Area. This vision was developed over years of managing mid to large sized commercial projects throughout California.

Steve was raised in Marin County and currently resides in the East Bay. After developing a taste for construction early on, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Northern Arizona University. Looking to further develop his vision for Buhler Commercial Construction, he earned an M.B.A. in International Business from Golden Gate University.

Steve’s experience ranges from project management on large and complex design-build projects to spending his early years learning the tricks of the trade as a carpenter. Although his experience is varied, each past client will testify to his commitment to each project and meeting the client’s needs.

Also, throughout his career Steve obtained several industry certifications, such as LEED Accredited Professional and Associate Constructor, as awarded by the American Institute of Constructors. He enjoys conquering challenges, has a passion for working with people and can be found on the weekend hiking the East Bay hills with his wife and daughter.

Eric Skyta

project manager

Eric, originally a New Jersey native, moved to the bay in 2017 to dive into the construction industry. At Buhler he is a project manager where he manages complex projects of all sizes. He loves everything brick and mortar from real estate, construction, and interior design and in his spare time can be found exploring the restaurant scene in the bay area. 

Alexis Wood

Controller

Alexis has been in the Construction Financial and Risk Management sector for over 10 years. She is a master at assessing, measuring, monitoring, and mitigating project risks while carrying out contractual and financial obligations. She thrives on being able to present a finished product and while she excels in the office, she enjoys the opportunity to visit a job site with the team. On the weekends Alexis spends her time with her family in the east bay.

Kapone Molina

Superintendent

Kapone, has spent 15 years building construction projects in the bay. He has wide array of construction knowledge including carpentry techniques, code compliance, Cal-OSHA regulations, jobsite best practices, CPM scheduling, which he brings to each project as Buhler Commercial’s General Superintendent. When not managing projects Kapone is riding his Harley or teaching his son how to use power tools. 

Markus Leer

Superintendent

Markus has over 20 years of experience overseeing construction projects. He has architecture and field experience which makes his knowledge of the whole process extremely valuable.   Markus’s favorite trades are concrete and steel. An interesting fact, Markus once lived on a sailboat and adventured up and down the west coast for over a year.

General contracting is our expertise. Taking your design and plans, we work with architects, sub-contractors, and owners to build your project. Commercial projects have many moving parts and we aim to streamline projects to meet your goals.

Design
Build

Design-Build is a service we offer for someone with an idea of what they want to build but does not have plans yet. We work with you throughout the whole process, conception, design, pricing, permitting, and construction. With design-build projects you can start construction before finalizing your design which provides a flexible and efficient approach to make sure your vision and budget are aligned.

Facility
Maintenance

Facility Maintenance is a service we offer for owners who need to keep their building or property in tip top shape. Capital improvements, code requirements, or finish upgrades are all important facility maintenance tasks we can assist with to keep your building running smoothly.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION
CONSULTING

Prior to construction we can provide pricing, cost control methods, and design reviews. With value engineering we can suggest options to reduce cost and time to make sure your project runs smooth and stays on budget.
